No. The file is read and converted only inside your browser on this device and is never sent anywhere. The part that processes the file runs in a separate sandboxed frame whose network access is blocked by a security policy (CSP connect-src 'none'). To verify, keep your browser developer tools open on the Network tab while opening a file; no request carrying the file content is made. The converter module (about 4 MB) is downloaded from this site once, the first time. See the privacy policy for details.

HWP(5.x)는 복합 문서(OLE) 형태의 이진 파일이고, HWPX는 XML 문서를 zip으로 묶은 형식입니다. HWPX는 압축을 풀면 안의 XML을 사람이 읽을 수 있어 다른 프로그램이 다루기 쉽습니다. 두 형식 모두 파일 형식 명세가 공개되어 있습니다. 이 도구는 둘 다 엽니다.
HWP (5.x) is a binary file in the OLE compound-document layout, while HWPX is a zip package of XML documents. A HWPX can be unzipped and its XML read by people and other software, which makes it easier to handle. The specifications of both formats are published. This tool opens both.

문서를 연 뒤 ‘PDF로 저장(인쇄)’ 버튼을 누르고, 브라우저 인쇄 창에서 대상을 ‘PDF로 저장’으로 고르세요. 메뉴와 버튼은 빠지고 문서 쪽만 나옵니다. 쪽 크기·여백은 브라우저 설정의 영향을 받을 수 있습니다.
After opening a document, press the ‘Save as PDF (print)’ button and choose ‘Save as PDF’ as the destination in the browser print dialog. Menus and buttons are left out; only the document pages are printed. Page size and margins can be affected by browser settings.
암호가 걸린 문서나 배포용 문서도 열리나요?Does it open password-protected or distribution-restricted documents?
열지 않습니다. 암호 문서와 복사·인쇄가 제한된 배포용 문서는 일부러 지원하지 않고, 열려고 하면 이유를 알려 드립니다. 작성자가 허용한 방법으로 암호나 제한을 해제한 뒤 이용하세요.
No. Password-protected documents and distribution-restricted (copy/print limited) documents are deliberately unsupported, and the tool tells you why. Remove the protection through the method the author allows, then try again.
글자 모양이 원본과 다르거나 깨져 보여요.Text looks different from the original or garbled.
문서에 쓰인 글꼴이 내 기기에 없으면 비슷한 다른 글꼴로 대신 보이고, 그러면 줄 바꿈과 쪽 나눔이 원본과 달라질 수 있습니다. 이 도구는 오픈소스 rhwp 엔진을 기반으로 하며 모든 HWP 파일에서 정상 동작한다고 보장하지 않습니다. 열리지 않거나 크게 다르게 보이는 파일이 있으면 문의 페이지로 알려 주세요(파일을 보낼 필요는 없고 증상만 적어 주시면 됩니다).
If a font used in the document is not installed on your device, a similar font is substituted, which can change line wraps and page breaks. The tool builds on the open-source rhwp engine and does not guarantee correct output for every HWP file.
